Airlancer MPA

Concept of Airlancer multi role jet for my scifi/fantasy story - Scars Of Gaia.


The Airlancer was designed as a multi-role jet for the Needlehelmian Armed Forces as a support aircraft against barbarian and pirates, whether they be on the ground or in pirate airships - the Airlancer jet fighter is useful for filling most roles such as general purpose fighter and support - it went into full production six years before the war with the Terranians.

It brings dread to various different species of Terranians because of how versitile the Airlancer is, it is especially hated Harpies as they have no means to fight off the metal flying machine, only fast flying dragons such as the Wyverns and wind based magic can be a sereous threat against Airlancers.


The Airlancer can be armed from simply a single 20mm Gatling cannon to an array of bombs or missiles - Imperial Arms Lid has also added an upgrade to place two pylons on top of the wings to hold two Cobra micro AA missiles.
Young men with a sense of freedom and adventure often in the Armed Forces office choose the Royal Needlehelmian Air Force to get a chance of flying these fast, manoeuvrable jets but usually will have to fly other aircrafts before being able to get to fly the Airlancer - some lucky young men will be immediately assigned to fly the Airlancers.


The shape of an Airlancer is unmistakable, its swept forward wings have become quite common in the skies of the Marchian continent, sometimes bringing joy as they sweep over fast with their impressive shape, and sometimes bringing dread as these jets are the first signs of a battle about to commence nearby.
